Check-in time is strictly at 3pm on the day of arrival and check-out is at 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance at an additional fee (subject to availability).

We have a NO MUSIC policy outside. Only soft, background music is permitted inside at the discretion of the owners.

Please respect that Kudu Plains is located inside a nature reserve and noise levels are to be kept to a minimum.

Fires are a huge risk in our area.
- PLEASE ENSURE THAT FIRES ARE NOT LEFT UNNATENDED. This includes boma fires and braais.
- Fires are only permitted in the designated fire pits/braai area. Please note that the fireplace in the lounge is NOT A WORKING FIREPLACE and is decorative only.
- Please ensure that fires and braais are PUT OUT WITH WATER BEFORE GOING TO BED.
- When conditions are windy please only make use of the Weber Kettle Braai.
- Wood is available at R30 per bag. No wood is to be taken from the veld or from around the house.
- During Winter months the Dinokeng area does ban open fires from time to time when risks are too high. Guests will be notified accordingly should there be a ban in place during their stay.

Self-driving is NOT PERMITTED on the park. Driving around the Leeuwkloof Park Private Reserve is only allowed in designated Kudu Plains vehicles. No private vehicles may drive around the park. Game Drives drives may be booked at an additional cost.

Walking and cycling is allowed on main dirt roads and is done so at the guest’s own risk. Please DO NOT enter any private driveways or walk close to houses.

No wood may be removed from the veld. Please not not litter.

Although the Leeuwkloof Park Reserve is not a Big 5 Game Reserve, Leopard and other small predators have been occasionally spotted in the past so please be vigilant.

We make use of a Septic Tank and French Drain system.
- Please do not throw foreign objects down the toilets (cotton wool, tampons, sanitary pads, wet wipes etc ) .
- PLEASE ONLY THROW 1 PLY TOILET PAPER DOWN THE TOILET which will be provided.
- Please do not throw excessive toilet paper/tissues down the toilet that can otherwise be thrown in the dustbin.
- Please do not put food waste and oil down the kitchen sink drain.

The house is completely off the grid and we make use of gas for water heating, solar power with batteries and a backup generator for rainy days. We kindly request that guests are conscientious when utilising these resources.

- The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven. Please do not bring electrical appliances such as electric frying pans and microwaves.
- Please do not leave lights on unnecessarily.
- Please do not bring your own hairdryer and make use of the low-wattage hairdryers supplied.
- Please no not bring electric heaters. A gas heater is available. Gas may be purchased separately for this.

Bedding and blankets are not to be taken outside or onto the veranda. Please bring your own blankets for outside use.

A breakage deposit is charged with your booking and is fully refundable provided that nothing has been broken or soiled/damaged during your stay. Breakages and special cleaning will be deducted from this amount and the balance will be refunded within 48 hours of departure.
