A Family-friendly Farmstay getaway close to Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Just a stone’s throw away from Jozi and Pretoria, lies Kudu Plains Bush Retreat, a 10 sleeper private self-catering house located inside the Leeuwkloof Park Private Conservancy, within the Greater Cullinan Area.

The lodge is the ideal setting for a fun family get away, corporate teambuilding, or weekend away with friends. A blissful escape from the city with wide open spaces, peace, starlit night skies with the sounds of Jackal, Night Jars and the calls of Lion from a distance.

The accommodation is a designer home filled with thoughtful touches that will make you feel welcome and comfortable. The house is spacious and equipped with everything you could need, including two boma braai areas, a well-equipped farm-style kitchen, multiple indoor and outdoor lounge areas and beautifully designed bedrooms and a outdoor shower that is worth revisiting on it's own. The entire facility is run off the grid - ensuring that Eskom will never interfere with your holiday!

The 500HA Conservancy is home to an impressive range of Plains Game, including Giraffe, Sable, Eland, Zebra, Kudu, Waterbuck among others which make regular visits to areas surrounding the house.

There is no shortage of things to do on the farm. A massive lawn area outside the house is host to many family Cricket games. A trampoline and jungle gym provide hours of entertainment for little ones while the big people keep watch from the overlooking patio. A splash pool, albeit small is the perfect cocktail spot whilst watching the animals pass by. Walking and mountain biking on kilometres of Jeep track is the best way to view the game.

Once you arrive you might not want to leave. Ever! But…for those wanting some Big 5 action, the Ndlovu and Nyati Gates of the Dinokeng Game Reserve are +/- 20 minutes drive. The quaint town of Cullinan is a 25 minute drive and has some lovely restaurants and antique shops too.

The private House sleeps up to 10 people in 4 bedrooms. Two wings each comprising of a main bedroom, upstairs loft room and bathroom are separated by a large entertainment and dining area, making the house perfect for 2 families or a larger group.
